Happy Monday Lacquerheads!

I trust your weekends were full of wonderfulness!
I've been a bit busy with essays and keeping warm for the last few days so the blog has been on the back burner.

In case you didn't see last week I did a guest post on Sparkly Vernis. You can click the photo of my manicure below to be go to that post!

Jelly sandwich with fish tail accent for Sparkly Vernis guest post

And on to another one of my new polishes from Sassy Lacquer!

Isn't Cap & Gown freaking awesome?!
It's a royal blue crelly base - sort of too milky to be an actual jelly - with black matte glitter in small and medium hexagons and diamond shapes! It does sort of scream GRADUATION. Application was pretty good, the base has a lovely texture, but the glitter wanted to move with each brush stroke. I ended up using 2-3 coats and 2 layers of top coat. The bubble on my pinkie is from the INM Out the Door - it's thickening like SV does and I really need to add some thinner!

Next time I might just layer 1 coat over a blue base for an easier application. I can't get enough of the blue base though! Soooo yummy.

I WOULD LOVE TO GT SOME FEEDBACK ON WHAT YOU WOULD LIKE TO SEE MORE OF ON NAIL POLISH ANON. IF YOU WOULD BE SO KIND AS TO LEAVE SOME SUGGESTIONS IN THE COMMENTS SECTION, I'LL LOVE YOU FOREVER?!

  1. Ooh I love it! The blue and black are such appropriate graduation colors. Reminds me of my older sister's graduation robes!

    1. Thanks, I put some actual effort into the guest post one - but the fishtail was harder than I thought! It took me 2 goes and wasn't too even; getting the angle of the first and second stroke right seems to be holding me back!!!!
