Mo You Stamping CRAZY!

Like every other blogger I've been going nuts over all the amazing plates Mo You London has been putting out lately.

I've already have all of these:

I kind of went overboard when I got some unexpected paypal currency...
Anyways - now I have all these amazing plates I'll be working 24/7 just to wear every pattern once in my lifetime!!!

So far this is the only mani I've managed to get on film:

Lacquer Lust S-Mauve-Mente stamped with China Glaze Harmony MoYou AC11

I stamped the pattern from the bottom right of Artist Collection 11 - the pattern on the dead skull lady's shawl. Sadly I chose a sucky metallic so it's hard to make out the detail of the stamp!

The images transfer perfectly for me - the only thing I will mention is that the XL images are way too big for my nails and the regular plates are borderline - for most nails they will be too small. I think my thumbs may be too wide for the full nail patterns, and if I have long nails the full nail patterns will be too short too.
Definitely keep that in mind when deciding between the XL and regular plates.

Also, as pretty as the arty full plate motifs are, they aren't entirely practical! Some of the nicest patterns are too small or in awkward shapes. I'm not sure it'll deter me from buying more though. They're just so, so pretty!!!!

MoYou plates and accessories are available online now

French Tip Lace Water Decals Review

*Press Sample*

Born Pretty Store sent me some really cute water decals to review.

B132 (far right)

I chose to wear them over naked nails - which are obviously stained from prolonged polish use, sorry!

BPS Water Decals

These were so easy to use! The tips are really long (great for talon nails), so I trimmed them a lot once I stuck them on my nails. I'd recommend trimming them before you submerge them in water though, because they become very delicate and can tear easily...

I just topped the mani with one layer of Out The Door top coat and I was good to go. They last just as long as a regular mani on me and remove with ordinary polish remover.

Even More Girly Bits Swatches

I shared some Girly Bits swatches with you the other day from a sizable order I received a few months back.
Now I have the second lot of swatches for you.

Girly Bits Fathomless

Fathomless is a dark teal jelly with blue/green iridescent micro-glitter. It's deep and dark, just as the name suggests! Two coats allows for full coverage.

Girly Bits OVbunEN over piCture pOlish Twinkle

OVbunEN is a mix of pastel mauve, yellow, pink, periwinkle blue and baby blue matte glitters plus holo micro-glitter and iridescent bar glitter; all in a clear base. It's very spring appropriate - like an easter egg! This is one coat over the shimmery lilac Twinkle.

Girly Bits Heirloom over OPI Pedal Faster Suzi!

Heirloom is a glitter topper with silver, pink (some square glitter) and wine hexes. I paired it with a shimmery light pink and it looks fabulous! I'm wearing two coats for fairly decent coverage.

Girly Bits Ornamental My Dear Watson over OPI Alpine Snow

Ornamental My Dear Watson is another glitter topper. It's an explosion of pink, blue, fuchsia and gold square and hex glitters. It adds a lot of sparkle and pizzazz over a number of bases but I love it over white! Again, I applied two coats for great coverage.

Girly Bits lacquers are available from a number of online stores as well as their own web store.

Christmas Wrapping Paper Manicures

We're 3 days in to December so it's probably about time for some Christmas nail art!

I did a couple of wrapping paper manis using designs from BM-423

Konad Special Polish Green & BM423 stamped over The Polish Well Wrath

I'm brilliant at the accidentally crooked stamping, right?!

China Glaze Passion & BM423 stamped over The Polish Well Evil Witch

I'm actually pretty stoked with this mani because I managed to get all but the ring finger relatively straight!!!!!

What are you doing to get in to the Christmas spirit? Any one just getting in to the Christmas 'spirits'? :)

Emily de Molly Stamping Plate 01

Emily de Molly has started making stamping plates! Two are already available (EDM01 & 02) and three more are coming soon. You have to take a look for yourself because these plates are the best I've ever seen - no joke.

I've used a couple of the patterns off EDM01 so far - enjoy.

The Polish Well Haru Haru stamped with Konad Special Polish White & EDM01

This is the pattern from the top right of the plate. It transfers perfectly for an intricate design (the middle finger is a mess because I'm a shit stamper).

The Polish Well Tonight stamped with A England Princess Sabra & EDM01

This pattern is Emily de Molly's signature lace design featured on her business cards - from the bottom of the plate. It transferred perfectly too - though it may be hard to tell in the photos!

I think I'm digging these pretty patterns because they have a delicate femininity about them (and don't seem at all childish like a lot of my stamping plates) and can all be used horizontally or vertically without screwing up the design.

01 & 02 are currently sold out but hopefully they will be back in stock when 03, 04 & 05 launch!
