Farmers has Orly Buy 1 Get 1 Free on at the moment so I took the opportunity to get a couple of the Holiday Soiree polishes. Here is Au Champagne; the prettiest white there ever was!
Au Champagne is the most beautiful delicate white shimmer I've ever seen. I have to admit I wasn't a fan of the formula though. It dries matte and was pretty uneven until the third coat. I had to put on some shiny top coat to make it look nice. The finished product was worth it. Perhaps I just need to take more care applying it next time? On the sunny side, it dries quickly.
This is sort of a substitute for the white Kardashian polish I can't get my hands on. I wonder how they compare IRL?

ReplyDeleteI love Farmer's Orly deals!!! I bought Androgynie off Ebay back in October so I got Ingenue as my freebie (I wanted Le Chateau but I think it just ends up looking black). I thought it would be a Rally Pretty Pink dupe but it's too purple as well! Any chance you want it? I have OPI It's My Year & Orly Rock the World and all 3 are super close in colour with the exact same finish!!! And all are too cool for my skintone argh!

ReplyDeleteWow seriously great minds! I did get it at the same time as the orlys!!! I hate the formula but love the finished result - with a couple layers of seche vite.
ReplyDeleteLOL - yep, it took 2 (thick) coats of SV to tame that beastie but it was SO worth it. I haven't been able to stop staring at my nails all day!! Thankfully the sun has been out so it's been a sparkly glitter fest of a day.

ReplyDeleteNo I can't get my hands on IAATG but I'm hoping they are close. The Nicole one may have tiny glitter in it but we'll have to search for some swatches
