One Polish, Three Ways: Pretty Serious Party by the Pool

Australia is producing some of the most amazing nail lacquers at the moment! It kills me that very few indie and boutique brands are able to ship to NZ. We're so close, yet the damned Tasman Sea puts a spanner in the works!

Thankfully, Pretty Serious are able to ship to Aotearoa!!! And they have some beautiful polishes. Today I've got some sparkly layering using one of the holiday Christmas Without Snow collection lacquers.

Day One:
Pretty Serious Party by the Pool

Party by the Pool is a teal blue jelly with green micro-glitter and blue micro-flakes! The formula is a bit thicker than I'd like, but it is easily thinned and applies quite nicely. I used 3 coats to cover the VNL (visible nail line). It looks like the ocean is at the tips of your fingers!!!

Day Two:
with Piper Polish Sparkling Fish Eyes

Sparkling Fish Eyes is a deep blue sheer jelly with ocean micro-glitter and square iridescent glitter. I've had it sitting around unused for months and when I was looking for something to spice up PBTP, it popped out at me. The combination was written in the stars! I applied two gel like coats of SFE and a layer of SV for a smooth glossy finish.

 Day Three:
with Piper Polish Spectraflair Topcoat

Spectraflair Topcoat from Piper Polish gives a very light, scattered holo effect with one coat. The clear base it is made with also gives a perfectly smooth and glassy quick dry finish to my manis. No need for another layer of clear topcoat with this one around!!! The added holo completed the look of the Pacific Ocean glistening in the hot, hot, Fijian sun. Either that, or very mermaid-esque, anyway!

Piper Polish is available here and Pretty Serious can be found here and is stocked by Llarowe.

Have you tried either brands yet? Got an Epic layering combination you care to share? Let me know in the comments!
