polished by KPT Thermal Swatches

I bought a few polished by KPT colour changing polishes from Femme Fatale during their New Year Sale and they are just as amazing as I thought they'd be!!!

Polished by KPT Blue is Beautiful

Blue is Beautiful is a thermal colour-changing lacquer that shifts from an almost translucent grey/blue when warm to a medium blurple-blue when cold. It's got a jelly formula with translucent blue glitter and silver micro-glitter. I applied 3 medium coats for fuller coverage when warm - it is a little thick, but applies nicely.

Polished by KPT Nightcrawler

Nightcrawler is a purple/blue shimmer with blue flecks. When it's warm, it goes to a pale grey/purple and when cold it transitions back to the dark blue/purple. I applied two medium coats and top coat for shine.

Polished by KPT Ophelia's Love

Ophelia's Love is a greyish pale purple with pink-gold shimmer flecks that changes to a smokey dark purple when cool. The shimmer looks amazing against the dark base. This dries to a satin matte like the rest so I also added top coat for a glossy sheen!

Do you have any KPTs yet? Because I seriously recommend you get your paws on these beauties!!! I really want blood as thick as gold.

Pretty in Pearls

I got my stripe on with the help of some striping tape & this pack of pearl flatbacks.

I used China Glaze Keep Calm, Paint On and Mimosas Before Manis for my base coat, then OPI Alpine Snow for the stripes.

Don't feel like writing so that's that :)

Rocking my Serum No.5 GITDs!

I got a couple Serum No.5s from a post-xmas sale and they are WONDERFUL!!!!

Serum No.5 Atomic Peach

Atomic Peach is a pastel peach glow in the dark lacquer with a sprinkling of gold micro-glitter. It's a touch brighter (and less white) than the photos show and the GITD effect is very strong - it glows a yellow/green. The formula is alright, a little grainy (with the GITD pigment and all) and you need about 3 coats for it to even out - the Seche Vite helps with that too!

Serum No. 5 Pink Lantern

Pink Lantern is a hot pastel pink GITD. It's much pinker and brighter than in the photos too and glows a white/pink/orange in the dark. It needs about three coats to even out too and again the Seche Vite helped with this and added the glossy finish it needed!

My fav is Pink Lantern but I do love my peachy-nudes so Atomic Peach is certainly a close second!

Rhinestone Flowerburst

I bought a wheel of crystal faceted rhinestones from AliExpress recently - they are so much prettier than regular clear rhinestones - and this is the first manicure I used them for. The pictures don't really show the prismatic-like sparkle off to full extent, but trust me; in person they are pretty!!

For this mani I used Elevation Polish Pic de Subenuix on my ring & pinkie nails and Elixir Lacquer Miss Kitty's Mee-yow on my middle & index nails. PdS is a mid-dark purple with green flash shimmer& MKM is a periwinkle with aqua flash shimmer. I thought they made a nice contrast together. I added a large rhinestone to the right corner of each nail and then small rhinestones all the way round the large to make them look like flower petals. I didn't top coat them for fear of losing the prismatic sparkle of the gems. You should really use nail glue to prolong the wear time of these though.

I quite like how these turned out - what do you think?

Scales & Sparkle

I've been playing around with my MoYou London plates for a couple of weeks now, they're so much FUN!
Here's a little look I came up with using one of the Sailor plates.

For this look I applied two coats of OPI Sparkle-iscious to my ring and pinkie & thumbnails. Next, I painted my middle and index fingernails with OPI Overexposed in South Beach and stamped a scale design from MoYou London Sailor Collection - 04 plate, in China Glaze Passion.
I topped off the mani with my trusty Seche Vite.

A whole lot of polish loot arrived on my doorstep today (courtesy of post-xmas sales), so be sure to tune in tomorrow for a sneak peek at what's on the horizon for NPA.

Today I get to show you my most coveted polish of 2013 that my brother and sister gave me for xmas!!! It's soooooooooooooo awesome!!!!!!!!!!!

Takko Lacquer Schiaparelli

Schiaparelli is a bright Barbie pink shimmer with green flecks. I freaking love it! It is a perfect two coater and I topped it off with INM Out the Door top coat. I can't wait to try it matte!
I love these newer takko bottles too, just sad that all my others are in the round one :(

That brings my What I got for Christmas series to an end however, I've got some nail art for you over the next couple of days.

What I got for Christmas: Rainbow Honey Sweet Talk

How are you enjoying seeing my xmas presents one by one? Can you tell I'm stalling because I have NO swatches left in the 'vault'?!

I'm not regularly a fan of this next brand, but I am taken by this glittery concoction. Enjoy.

Rainbow Honey Sweet Talk

Sweet Talk is a white crelly with pink, purple and pale blue matte glitter. I think it was a Valentine's Day polish from Rainbow Honey. I applied two coats plus Gelous & Seche Vite for these swatches.

I'll be showing you my last xmas polish tomorrow - saving the best for last, I promise!
