CrowsToes I Make The Path

I hope everyone had a great Valentine's Day! My dogs made great V-day dates!!! After I put wee Buster to bed, Charlie and I even had some uninterrupted cuddles for once!!! (Buster loves to jump up on to my lap and push Charlie out of the way whenever I'm giving him attention, jealous much?!)
Anyone else have a fur-baby date instead of a 'real' one?

My friend Sparkly encouraged me to get I Make The Path by CrowsToes. She thought it was spectacular and I was on the fence until I saw her swatches. And to be honest I was still umming and ahhing over it once it arrived but now that I've finally worn it... Boy am I glad I listened!!!!

CrowsToes I Make The Path over Elevation Polish Alphubel

I Make The Path is a mix of blue, gold and silver glitters in a clear base. Some are holo, the light blue ones are matte, and some are square - they are all perfect! And IMTP is packed with glitter, so I only needed 1 coat over Alphubel for fantastic coverage. It went all super smooth with one coat of Glitter Gloss too.

I don't have many CrowsToes, but I Make The Path is possibly my favourite. Even over Cheshire!!!!

Which CrowsToes is your fave?

Candy Lacquer Frozen Treats & Twilight Sparkle

Candy Lacquer makes the best glitter top coats ever!
She especially has a way with matte glitter, so here are a few to tide you over until my V-day LE polishes arrive. COME ON POSTIE!!! I'm craving me some sparkly hearts!!!! OMG they were just delivered and they are sooooooo choco-block full of glitter!!!! Candy Kisses and Garden of Love are AMAZEBALLS!!!!!!

Candy Lacquer Frozen Treats over Nubar Purple Aster

Frozen Treats is an intense mix of rainbow and white matte glitters - squares, hexes and shredded in multiple sizes - in a clear base. All those bubbles are from my top coat which needed some serious thinning!! I layered 1 coat over Nubar Purple Aster, a pastel purple with subtle pearly white shimmer. The formula is really thick, like uncut suspension base and is absolutely packed with glitter so application requires a bit of expertise and it dries very textured. I used 2 layers of Glitter Gloss to smooth it out and it was quite a mountain in the end.
But, I applied FT in 1 thick coat so way too much glitter ended up on my nails. Next time I will do more dabbing or thinner coats.
It looks seriously awesome!!! I'm gonna try it over a sheer white next!

Candy Lacquer Twilight Sparkle over ChG Naked

Twilight Sparkle is part of the My Little Pony Collection. I can't really remember MLP but my older sister loved that show and had a lot of the ponies which I do remember playing with. I used to brush their colourful manes and tails!!! I want lots of Candy Lacquer's MLP glitter mixes but the only one I have so far is TS
It's a mix of medium pink with pastel, lavender and grape purple matte glitters in a clear base. I've layered it over China Glaze Naked, a warm pink with white shimmer - the perfect pink for my skin tone! The formula was a lot better on this one. There's not so much glitter packed in so you can apply it like a normal polish. I think this was 2 coats. So cute!

I've dramatically cut my polish spending this month. I've only ordered about 5 polishes since February began :( And those were the Candy Lacquer V-day polishes I'm waiting on. I just received. It's killing me because there are so many amazing mainstream collections out right now. China Glaze Avant Garden, OPI Euro Centrale, Zoya Pixie Dust! So fingers crossed my birthday next month brings me stacks of polish or polish moolah!!!!!!!!!!

Happy Valentine's Day with Femme Fatale quivering heart

Happy Valentine's Day my polished pixies!

I hope you got spoiled by a special and sexy guy or girl today!

I have a Femme Fatale polish from Oz to show you in honour of St Valentine!

Femme Fatale Quivering Heart over Gloss 'n Sparkle Harlot

 Femme Fatale says;
Quivering Heart is a glitter polish with a plum jelly base. It contains pinkish red sparkles, various red hex glitters, black squares and a small scattering of black hearts.
You might not be able to tell from the photos, but I did manage to get a black heart on my index finger. I layered 1 coat over Gloss 'n Sparkle Harlot. It has a fine formula, the only issue is that the red squares have a slight reflective curl. I think almost every non-matte square glitter polish of mine reflectively curls though, so it's no big deal. You might just need 1-2 layers of thick top coat. I used 1 coat of SV.

I think QH was a pretty perfect V-day polish! Especially with the sexy red and wine/pink mixed with the darker black hearts - describes my love life pretty well. Lots of lusting, but no love yet!!!

Pahlish Spam

I have quite a few Pahlish's in the vault and there is absolutely no reason for not posting them earlier! I am a huge fan of Shannon's creations! She knows how to do glitter like no one's business!

Pahlish Little Caroline

Little Caroline is a sheer barbie pinkwith tons of iridescent glitters that glow peach-yellow in particular. It's the perfect topper for pink or purple, or great alone with 2-3 coats. The formula is a bit thick so I thinned mine before use.

Pahlish Stroke of Luck

Stroke of Luck is a sheer green with gold, emerald and green glitters. It will definitely be on my nails for St Paddy's Day!!! I used 2 coats with 1 layer of Glitter Gloss for these photos. It's fairly sheer so it'd be great as a topper. The formula was fine.

 Pahlish Four Colly Birds

Four Colly Birds is a wine jelly with gold sparks as well as gold, rose and maroon glitter. The gold sparks are my favourite part! I applied 2-3 coats for full coverage. The formula is a bit thicker than I'd have liked, but thinner fixes that issue in no time.

Pahlish Your Lover Is An Actress

Your Lover Is An Actress has a grape purple jelly base with wine, red, blue, purple and pink glitter. I think there might be some of those sparkly gold flecks in it too... I'm not a huge fan of this one, it's sort of just meh to me. The formula was thick again and I needed 2-3 thin coats for opacity.

 Pahlish Still Alive

Still Alive is a muted teal creme (it reminds me of China Glaze Exotic Encounters) with tons of  iridescent glitter than shifts green-orange-yellow. It also looks like there are some gold sparks in it too. It is pretty opaque needing only 2 coats for great coverage. The formula was again a bit thicker than I like but my thinner sorted it out.

Pahlish End of Days

End of Days is an orange jelly with gold sparks, blue, orange and silver glitter. It's pretty darn amazing really!!! But I do think it'd look more vibrant over a bright orange base. This had a thick formula too - Pahlish's only downfall! I used 3 thin coats for solid coverage.

Pahlish Ace of Fours

Ace of Fours  is one of my all time favourite polishes! A white base with blue and subtle charcoal flaked glitter and a fine shimmer it reminds me of skiing late afternoon, with the sky darkening and a gentle flutter of snow falling! The blue glitter really has that icy ethereal effect going on. The formula was nice and I used 2 thin coats for full coverage.

Woo-whee, that was a LOT of spam for one post!
You can purchase Pahlish on Etsy and Llarowe
